Information we collect

Account information

You sign in through Web3Auth. We receive the basic details Web3Auth provides, such as your email address or login identifier, and your wallet address. You may also add a username, profile picture and bio.

Content you create

Photos, videos, music, art, text, comments, reactions, reviews, votes and Reality Check declarations you post, along with information attached to them, such as when and where they were captured and whether they were made with the W3bscape camera.

Location

With your permission, we use your device’s location for the map, check-ins, Move-to-Earn sessions and location-tagged posts. When you post, you choose how much location is shown: general area, city only, or none.

Messages

Direct messages are designed with end-to-end encryption, which means we cannot read their contents.

Payments

Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, along with limited details such as the amount and the last four digits of the card.

Device and usage information

Device type, app version, push notification token, crash and performance reports, and how you use features. We also keep your in-app activity, such as rewards, credit score and contest entries.

How we use information

• to run W3bscape and provide features like the map, check-ins, minting and communities;
• to process payments and deliver what you buy;
• to run contests, prizes and credit scores, and to prevent fraud and abuse;
• to keep the community safe, review reports and enforce our Terms;
• to screen uploaded music for copyright issues;
• to send notifications you’ve asked for;
• to fix problems and improve the app.

We do not sell your personal information.

What is public

Posts, profiles and activity you share publicly can be seen by other people. Blockchains and Arweave are public. When you mint content, the content, your wallet address and the transaction become publicly visible and cannot be deleted or changed later, even if you delete your account.

Who we share information with

We use service providers to operate W3bscape. Depending on the feature, they may handle some of your information:

• Web3Auth for sign-in and wallets;
• Stripe for card payments;
• cloud hosting, database and content delivery providers, such as MongoDB Atlas and Cloudflare;
• Arweave and Solana for permanent storage and NFTs;
• Mapbox, Foursquare and OpenStreetMap for maps and place information;
• Expo for push notifications;
• a music copyright screening service for uploaded tracks;
• crash and performance monitoring tools;
• a third-party AI provider, if you use an AI feature such as a tagged comment-reply assistant. The text you submit to that feature is sent to the provider to generate a reply.

We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect people’s safety, or if W3bscape is involved in a merger or sale of the business.

Your choices

• You can turn off location, camera, microphone and notification permissions in your device settings, though some features won’t work without them.
• You can choose how much location each post shows.
• You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or delete your account, by emailing Tokunbo.Obi@W3BSCAPE.com. We’ll respond as soon as we reasonably can. Content on Arweave and Solana can’t be removed.

Depending on where you live, such as California, you may have additional privacy rights. Email us and we’ll honor valid requests.

Keeping information safe

We use reasonable safeguards, but no service is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your login methods and wallet secure.

Children

W3bscape is for people 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has used W3bscape, contact us and we’ll delete the account.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If we make important changes, we’ll let you know in the app or on this page.
